The tps3700 wide power window voltage detector operates in the voltage range of 1.8V to 18V. The device has two high-precision comparators with an internal 400mV reference and two open drain outputs rated at 18V for overvoltage and undervoltage detection. Tps3700 can be used as a window voltage detector or as two separate voltage monitors. The monitoring voltage can be set through an external resistor.
When the voltage on ina + drops below (vitp - vhys), outa is driven to low level, and when the voltage returns above the corresponding threshold (vitp), outa becomes high level. When the voltage on inb - rises above vitp, outb is driven to low level, and when the voltage drops below the respective threshold (vitp - vhys), outb becomes high level. The two comparators in tps3700 include built-in hysteresis for filtering to suppress short-time burr pulses, thus ensuring stable output operation without fault triggering.
