explain
The bq40z50-R1 device uses the patented Impedance Track technology, which is a single chip fully integrated solution based on battery packs. It provides a series of rich functions such as power monitoring, protection and certification for 1, 2, 3 and 4 series lithium ion or lithium polymer battery packs.
The bq40z50-R1 device uses its integrated high-performance analog peripherals to measure the available capacity, voltage, current, temperature and other key parameters of lithium ion or lithium polymer batteries, retain accurate data records, and report these information to the system host controller through the SMBus v1.1 compatible interface.
The bq40z50-R1 device provides the maximum power and current for the host system, thus supporting the Turbo boost mode. The device also supports the battery jump point, so as to send the BTP interrupt signal to the host system in the preset charging threshold state.
Bq40z50-R1 provides software based level 1 and level 2 safety protection, which can prevent overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, short circuit, overload, overheating and other failures related to the battery pack and battery.
The SHA-1 authentication with the secure memory for the authentication code key can identify the real battery pack.
This compact 32 wire QFN package provides the functionality and security of battery power measurement applications as much as possible, while minimizing the cost of the solution and the size of smart batteries.
