The AD7949 is an 8-channel, 14 bit, charge redistribution, successive approximation (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) powered by a single power supply (VDD).
The AD7949 is built with all the components required by the multi-channel, low-power data acquisition system, including: a true 14 bit SAR ADC without loss of code; 8-channel, low crosstalk multiplexer for configuring input as single ended input (with or without reference ground), differential input or bipolar input; Internal low drift reference voltage source (2.5 V or 4.096 V can be selected) and buffer; Temperature sensor; Selectable single pole filter; And a sequencer used for sequential continuous sampling of multiple channels.
AD7949 uses a simple SPI interface to write configuration registers and receive conversion results. The SPI interface uses a separate power supply (VIO), which is set as the main logic level. Power consumption is proportional to the throughput rate.
The AD7949 is packaged in a 20 pin mini LFCSP and operates from − 40 ° C to+85 ° C.
