LM25122 is a synchronous boost controller that supports multiple phases and is designed for efficient synchronous boost voltage regulator applications. This control method is based on peak current mode control. Current mode control can provide internal line feedforward, cycle by cycle current limitation, and simplified loop compensation.
The maximum switching frequency can be programmed to 600kHz. Achieve higher efficiency through two robust and durable N-channel metal oxide semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) gate drivers that support adaptive dead time control. A user selectable diode simulation mode can also achieve intermittent mode operation to improve efficiency under light loads.
An internal charge pump can achieve 100% duty cycle (bypass operation) for the high side synchronous switch. A 180 º phase shift clock output can achieve simple multi-phase cross configuration. Other functions include thermal shutdown, frequency synchronization, intermittent mode current limiting, and adjustable line undervoltage locking.
