describe
"Hc123", "hct123", "cd74hc423" and cd74hct423 are Bi monostable multi vibrator with reset. They are all re triggered. The difference is that these 123 types can be triggered by a negative to positive reset pulse; The 423 types do not have this feature. External resistor (Rx) and external capacitor (Cx) control the timing and accuracy of the circuit. The adjustment of Rx and CX provides a wide range of output pulse widths at the Q and Q ends. The pulse triggering on the A and B inputs occurs at a specific voltage level and is independent of the rise and fall time of the trigger pulse.
Once triggered, the output pulse width can be extended by re triggering inputs a and B. The output pulse can be terminated by a low level on the reset (R) pin. The trailing edge trigger (a) and leading edge trigger (b) inputs are triggered from any edge of the input pulse. If mono is not used, each input on unused devices (a, B, and R) must be terminated high or low.
The minimum value of external resistance, Rx, is usually 5K Ω. The minimum value of external capacitance CX is 0pf. Calculate TW = 0.45rxcx at VCC = 5V.
