Tps54328 is an adaptive punctual d-cap2 ™ Mode Synchronous Buck converter. Tps54328 enables system designers to complete various terminal equipment power bus regulator components with high cost-effective, low component count and low standby current solutions. The main control loop of tps54328 uses d-cap2 mode control to provide a fast transient response without external compensation components.

Adaptive just in time control supports seamless transition between PWM mode operation under high load conditions and ecological mode operation under light load conditions. Ecological mode allows tps54328 to maintain high efficiency under light load conditions. The tps54328 also has a proprietary circuit that enables the device to use low equivalent series resistance (ESR) output capacitors, such as poscap or sp-cap, and ultra-low ESR ceramic capacitors. The device inputs VIN from 4.5V to 18V.

The output voltage is programmable from 0.76v to 7V. The device also has an adjustable soft start time. Tps54328 has 8-pin DDA and 10 pin DRC packages, which can be designed to operate in the ambient temperature range of - 40 ° C to 85 ° C.
