Tps61099x device is a synchronous boost converter with 1 µ a ultra-low quiescent current. The device is specially designed for products powered by alkaline battery, Ni MH rechargeable battery, lithium manganese battery or lithium ion rechargeable battery. It can operate efficiently under light load, which is very important to prolong the service life of the battery.
Tps61099x boost converter adopts hysteresis control topology, which can achieve the highest efficiency with minimum quiescent current. The device consumes only 1 µ a quiescent current under light load conditions and can achieve up to 75% efficiency under 10 µ a load (fixed output voltage version). In addition, the device supports an output current of up to 300mA during the conversion from 3.3V to 5V, and can achieve an efficiency of up to 93% under 200mA load.
Tps61099x also provides step-down mode and through operation for different applications. In the step-down mode, even if the input voltage is higher than the output voltage, the output voltage can still be adjusted to the target value. In the through mode, the output voltage is consistent with the input voltage. When Vin > Vout + 0.5V, tps61099x exits the step-down mode and enters the through mode.
When the tps61099x is disabled, it can disconnect the load from the input power supply and truly realize shutdown, so as to reduce current consumption. The tps61099x has an adjustable output voltage version and a fixed output voltage version. The device adopts 6 solder balls of 1.23mm × 0.88mm WCSP package and 6 solder balls 2mm × 2mm WSON package.
